The three day exhibition held from 25-27 August, 2015 to build relationships and nurture growth
New Delhi, August 25, 2015: Su-Kam Power Systems Limited, the leading player in the power back-up industry in India, showcases wide portfolio of solar products suitable for the residential home systems, at “The India Show” in Lagos, Nigeria. The exhibition has been organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with High Commission of India, Nigeria and supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce, and Government of India.
“The India Show” is an initiative of the Government of India to promote “Brand India” and the Indian industry, overseas, especially in developing countries and emerging markets with a demand for Indian products and Technologies. Nigeria is the largest trading partner of India in Africa. Nigeria’s energy sector is undergoing constant transformation but they continue to reel under acute power shortage. The country generates less than 4,000 megawatts (MW) annually. Only 18% of rural Nigeria has access to electricity and only about 50% of the country has access to electricity.
Nigeria was the first country outside of India, where Su-Kam set up operations, leading the way for the power back up industry in India to go global. For over a decade now, Su-Kam has been traversing the journey of lighting up villages, schools and hospitals as well as faces of lakhs of people in Africa. Africa is an important export market for Su-Kam and the company continues to expand their reach in the continent.

The main attractions at the stall were: DC System (Fan+ Led Light+ Remote) – an innovative and environment friendly home lighting solar solution that has approximately 30% less energy losses than its AC counterparts; Electroscopy – a unique Comparison Tool Kit (CTK) that measures the efficiency of different electrical appliances; Solarcon (16A/12V) – a hybrid solar charge controller which can be connected to any existing UPS or Inverter to convert it into a solar-powered system; Falcon+ (1100VA) – A smart Home UPS with 4th generation microprocessor. It is the first Home UPS with features like Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), which senses the ambient temperature near the battery and accordingly adjusts charging of batteries, Variable charging option and powerful charging even during low voltage in one inverter.
Apart from this, the other main attractions at the stall were the complete range of solar products for diverse requirements of customer’s need right from the street light (15 Watt), High Frequency inverter, Brainy Eco, Solar PCU- touch screen and wifi enabled, Grid tie inverter 2(KW), MPPT (20A/ 12V/24V) and Battery equalizer.
Su-Kam is one of the top players in residential solar market with 20.6% market share and pan India presence.
