Su-Kam installs 50 KW grid-tie systems for Delhi Jal Board

– The company bagged the tender from  Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (DSIIDC)
– 90,000 Units of power will be generated yearly

New Delhi, March 11, 2015: Su-Kam Power Systems Ltd., India’s leading power back up solutions provider, installs 50 KW grid-tie systems for Delhi Jal Board, Jhandewala, Karol Bagh. The company has bagged this prestigious project after winning a tender from Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (DSIIDC).

As part of this project, Su-Kam shall be installing two grid tie inverters 25 KW each and 200 PV modules of 250 Watt each. The installation will generate 90,000 units of electricity/year thereby helping Delhi Jal Board to save Rs 7, 20,000 annually.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kunwer Sachdev, Managing Director, Su-Kam said, “It is indeed encouraging that the government is looking at renewable energy to address the power crisis that the country is currently facing. India has made considerable progress towards renewable energy. The total renewable power installed capacity of the nation has reached 33.8 GigaWatts (GW). India is expected to install an additional 10,000 MW by 2017 and a total of 20,000 MW by 2022.Towards this Su-Kam is committed to the development and scaling up of solar energy. The company has been focusing on Solar Projects rooftop primarily in rooftop off-grid and on-grid for residential, institutional and government segment. Su-Kam has successfully completed some such projects with Assam Rifles, Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency, CREST, EIL and institutional installations ranging from few KW to 1 MW to name a few.

Su-Kam is one of the top players in residential solar market with 20.6% market share and pan India presence. A continuing focus on quality and strict adherence to international standards has enabled Su-Kam to export its products to various overseas markets across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the Pacific region.
