A solar tracker is a device that orients a payload toward the sun. The use of solar trackers can increase electricity. Trackers are used to minimize the angle of incidence between the incoming sunlight and the photovoltaic panel.An external energy source is required for the movement of panels.
Saison introducing new technology, which is an energy storage device for the solar tracker application.The energy can be stored with the help of a supercapacitor. Supercapacitor for storing electrical energy predates the invention of the battery. Capacitor stores their energy in an electrostatic field rather than in chemical form. They consist of two electrodes (plates) of opposite polarity separated by a dielectric or electrolyte. The Supercapacitor is charged by applying a voltage across the terminals which causes positive and negative charges to migrate to the surface of the electrode of opposite polarity.
Earlier for energy backup, batteries were being used and which required a long charging time. But with the new technology of Supercapacitor the fastest charging time can be achieved compared to all other storage devices and also guarantees a longer lifetime in terms of charge cycles and has a large range of operating temperatures, but has the drawback of having low energy density.However,batteries which are commonly used for storage of DC power are not a suitable option with intermittent power sources due to their high cost and low lifetimes (2000–3000 cycles). Supercapacitors have excellent power and cycling capabilities (100 000 cycles) which make them ideal for storing and discharging energy from intermittent sources. They can be easily integrated with individual solar panels, where a Supercapacitor is being used as the storage element and is directly connected to the solar panels. It can help Solar panel to give energy for the movement of panels according to the direction of sun. As the Supercapacitor is maintenance free product it can be used under most of atmospheric conditions.

There are two main types of encoder absolute and incremental (relative). The output of absolute encoders indicates the current position of the shaft, making them angle transducers. The output of incremental encoders provides information about the motion of the shaft, which is typically further processed elsewhere into information such as speed, distance and position.
