AXIS A8105-E Network Video Door Station secures your premises and simplifies visitor management by combining a full-fledged IP camera, a communication device, and a convenient door opener in one discreet unit. The door station is only 48 mm (1.89 in) wide and the small form factor enables mounting even on door frames and mullions.
Axis Communications, the market leader in network video, introduces AXIS A8105-E Network Video Door Station that helps operators monitor entrances, communicate directly with visitors, and open doors remotely regardless of where they are, using a mobile app, IP phone or Video Management System (VMS). The door station is ideal for installations within retail, education or the healthcare sector and its small form factor allows it to be installed where space is limited.
“AXIS A8105-E is a full-featured video surveillance camera with intercom and door opener capabilities. In addition to physical access control it can also be used for video monitoring,” says Ola Jönsson, Business Development Manager, Axis Communications. “Incidents taking place in front of the door can be recorded, and audio and video analytics can alert operators to situations as they occur. This makes AXIS A8105-E an effective complement to a video surveillance system while also providing physical access control.”
HDTV 1080p resolution and WDR – Forensic Capture deliver uncompromised visual identification even with strong backlighting, and LED lights provide enough light to see visitors at night. Axis’ Digital Corridor Format easily adjusts the viewing area to the location and increases the vertical area of view which makes it possible to see tall visitors even when it is low mounted. With factory focus and support for PoE, installation is fast and flexible, keeping costs low. An optional flush mounting accessory enables recessed mounting in most wall materials.
Acoustic echo cancellation and noise suppression make voices audible regardless of background noise. Thanks to open standards such as SIP and ONVIF, AXIS A8105-E can be seamlessly integrated into existing video management systems and Voice over IP (VoIP) telephony systems.
AXIS A8105-E is supported by the industry’s largest base of video management software through the Axis Application Development Partner (ADP) Program and AXIS Camera Station. Third-party audio and video analytics applications can be installed through AXIS Camera Application Platform.
AXIS A8105-E will be available in the beginning of Q3 2016 through Axis distribution channels. The product will also be supported in Axis Companion during the second half of 2016.
