Compact dimensions for tight installation conditions

Pforzheim and Hanover – 07 April 2017 – At the Hannover Messe trade fair (Hall 11, Stand E28) from 24 to 28 April 2017, PROVERTHA is presenting a new M12 90° adapter within the scope of its extensive M12 connector range. The new adapter is available in versions for Industrial Ethernet, Profinet, DeviceNet/CAN bus and Profibus. Its extremely compact dimensions make it ideal for tight installation situations with minimal installation depth.
M12-90°-AdapterThe 360° shielding and the fully shielded housing in addition to the twisted crimp contacts go to ensure interference-free data transfer and excellent EMC. The ability to freely combine male and female contacts in addition to the coding on each connection side permit a high degree of flexibility. Eight different coding positions are possible. The new M12 90° adapter is available as B, D and A-coded versions (5 and 8 poles).
For deployment in harsh, demanding railway applications, the use of plastic materials with HL3 as per EN 45545-2 ensures maximum fire protection.
M12 connectors from PROVERTHA – optimized for each specific application
PROVERTHA M12 connectors are characterised above all by reliable 360° shielded solutions, crimp flange and compact outer dimensions. The M12 connectors are available in various codes, for example M12 A-code, M12 B-code and M12 D-code. Even in extremely harsh industrial environments such as railway and aeronautical technology these high-quality products ensure reliable signal transfer. Optimized for each specific application, PROVERTHA offers various solutions.
By way of illustration, the PROVERTHA M12 Special has been developed for conductors with inflexible interior insulation, as used for example in railway conductors according to the new fire protection standard DIN EN 45545-2. The special design makes it easy to connect the cable shield. The fully shielded all-metal housing and the reliable cable strain relief with a crimp sleeve/crimp flange system, which is also suitable for increased stresses, guarantee safe application – even in extremely harsh environments.
The PROVERTHA M12 Universal series on the other hand is suitable for applications with various cable diameters, which are to be covered reliably with a single connector. The fully shielded all-metal housing and a special sealing insert with an easy-to-handle shield contacting system ensure highly reliable data and signal transfer.
