Preview for Automotive Engineering Expo 2017 – Japan – Booth 386
Pickering Interfaces will be showcasing their latest PXI, LXI & PCI switching and simulation solutions and software in the UK Pavilion, booth 386, at the Automotive Engineering Expo, Yokohama, Japan, May 24 – 26, 2017. These products include:
2 Amp PXI Fault Insertion Module (model 40-190B) – These fault insertion modules are available with 74, 64, or 32 channels and provide a high-density low-cost solution. They were primarily designed for the simulation of fault conditions in automotive applications involving the reliability testing of safety critical controllers.
3U 16 Amp PXI Power Relay Module (model 40-161) – These switching modules are capable of switching currents up to 16 Amps and voltages up to 250VAC. This range is available with configurations of 16, 12, or 10 SPST, or 12 or 6 SPDT power relays. These power relay modules are intended for switching heavy AC or DC loads or for the slave switching of large external relays, contactors and solenoids.
PXI Precision Programmable Resistor Module (model 40-260) – These resistor modules feature high resistance setting resolution with excellent resistance stability and accuracy through the use of advanced switching networks and software correction techniques. Each module supports three identical resistor channels that can be set to a range of resistance values with a setting resolution of better than 10mΩ, making this resistor module ideal for simulating sensors that require fine adjustment of their resistance.
PXI Microwave Multiplexers (model 40-784A) – These modules support 4 to 1 or 6 to 1 multiplexers in single, dual or triple formats. They are characterized for 6GHz, 18GHz, 26.5GHz, or 40GHz and have excellent performance throughout their frequency range. All models occupy just two 3U PXI slots. These modules include visual indicators of the relay setting thru the use of blue LEDs that indicate when a normally open path has been closed. These indicators are provided as an aid to help the user with visual checking of routing during system debug phase of test system development.
All the PXI modules can be used in any PXI chassis and can be fitted to PXI hybrid slots in a PXIe chassis. They also can also be used in Pickering Interfaces’ LXI Modular chassis for users preferring control via an Ethernet port, including Pickering’s new:
2-slot USB/LXI Modular Chassis (model 60-104) – this new chassis offers a small lightweight form factor, making it ideal for portable, benchtop and space restrictive applications. It supports one or two 3U Pickering PXI modules. The USB compatible and LXI compliant ports enable the chassis to be controlled directly through standard interfaces found on most personal computers—allowing for a very cost effective route into the modular test and measurement market
Also highlighted in the booth will be their eBIRST Switching System Test Tools. These tools, designed specifically for Pickering’s PXI, PCI or LXI (Ethernet) products, simplify switching system faultfinding by quickly testing the system and graphically identifying the faulty relays.
Pickering Interfaces stands behind all of their manufactured products with a standard three-year warranty and guaranteed long-term product support. Pricing and availability information is supplied on their website at www.pickeringtest.com.
