Configurable LVDT platform for faster speed-to-market; designed for harsh-environments; suit flight controls, engines, steering controls and more

January 2018:  Honeywell’s new Aerospace Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDT) in Single Channel, Dual Parallel and Dual Tandem Series are now available at Aerco, the distributor and stockist of electrical and electronic components servicing hi-rel markets.  Designed for next-gen harsh-environment aircraft applications, Honeywell’s new aerospace LVDT provides infinite resolution linear position solutions for design engineers needing to reduce design cycle time and expedite speed to market. Honeywell’s expertise in designing aerospace products and its extensive installed product base, coupled with Aerco’s experience in supplying this demanding market is a powerful and assuring combination for customers.

Honeywell’s LVDT is a pre-validated, configurable platform approach that provides continuous position monitoring: single channel, dual channel and dual tandem products in this range accommodate a wide variety of configurations and applications, including: flight controls, engines, nose wheel steering and pilot controls, plus many others. Honeywell LVDTs reduce installation time thanks to rig point position, which eliminates the need to shim during installation.  Enhanced reliability is assured through industry-leading design and winding techniques and high strength materials, which reduce MTBF: Honeywell LVDTs have a minimum life cycle of 1 million hours MTBF.

Aerco Honeywell LVDT PR_Jan 18Technical specifications include:  accuracy of ±0.5% of the full stroke gain from 0% to 100% of the LVDT stroke @ 21degC; normal operating pressure 2,000 psi; vibration 60G @5Hz to 2000 Hz. Current consumption is 11mA maximum.
