Company’s Commitment to Excellence Receives Continued Recognition on National and Global Scale

India, 30 Jan 2014: FORTUNE Magazine named National Instruments  among the 100 Best Companies to Work For in the nation for the 15th consecutive year. NI ranks #66 for 2014, a testament to NI’s commitment to its 100-year plan and culture.

NI’s vision-driven approach has brought consistent and wide recognition to the company. In November 2013, the Great Place to Work® Institute ranked NI #9 on its World’s Best Multinational Workplaces list. The Great Place to Work® Institute also recognized nine of NI’s international branches in 2013: China, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Switzerland and the UK.

“NI is committed to hiring the best and the brightest employees who, through their work, empower engineers and scientists to address the world’s biggest challenges and inspire the next generation of innovators,” said Dr. James Truchard, president, CEO and cofounder of National Instruments.

NI’s culture focuses on the long-term success of the company and its four stakeholders: customers, employees, shareholders and suppliers. NI’s core values and investment in its 100-year plan help the company culture scale to NI branches worldwide.

“NI is grateful for the recognition that FORTUNE Magazine has given our company for the past 15 years,” said Mark Finger, vice president of human resources at National Instruments. “Our people advantage strategy and global company culture ensure not only the success of NI, but also the success of our individual employees.”

National Instruments’ Work Culture
For more than 35 years, National Instruments’ vision-driven leadership, open and collaborative work environment and dedicated employees have proven essential to the company’s growth and position as a leader in technology. NI believes a well-balanced work culture improves employees’ well-being and inspires excellence. To support this philosophy, NI offers employees professional, personal and community development initiatives, volunteer opportunities and comprehensive wellness programs and facilities. Methodology: How FORTUNE Chose the 100 Best Companies to Work For
FORTUNE partners with the Great Place to Work® Institute, a global research and consulting firm that operates in 45 countries, and conducts the most extensive employee survey in corporate America. 255 firms participated in this year’s survey. More than 187,572 employees from those companies responded to a survey created by the Great Place to Work® Institute. Two-thirds of a company’s score is based on the result from the institute’s Trust Index survey, which is sent to a random sample of employees from each company. The survey asks questions about attitudes towards management’s credibility, job satisfaction, and camaraderie. The other third is based on responses to a Culture Audit, which includes questions about compensation programs along with open-ended questions about hiring practices, methods of internal communication, training, recognition programs, and diversity efforts.
