November 9, 2015 – Mouser Electronics, Inc. announced that it has signed a global distribution agreement with Seeed Studio. Seeed is a hardware innovation platform that specializes in open-source electronic modules and embedded devices for makers and designers.

The Seeed product line, now available from Mouser Electronics, includes the popular Grove series modules and starter kits, the Seeeduino Lotus, and the new BeagleBone Green. The Grove series is a collection of single-function modules with standardized connectors to simplify building electronic circuits without solder or breadboards. The Grove system fosters a user-friendly, “building-block” approach to circuits, and each module comes with documentation and demo codes. Grove starter kits include expansion boards for microcontrollers (such as Arduino Uno or TI LaunchPad) and an assortment of Grove modules.

The Seeeduino Lotus is an Arduino-compatible microcontroller development board based on the Atmel ATmega328 microcontroller. The board includes 14 digital I/O pins, seven analog I/O pins, and 12 connectors for the Seeed Grove I/O system. The ATmega328P-MU offers 2kbytes of RAM, 1kbyte of EEPROM, and 32kbytes of flash.

The new BeagleBone Green is a joint effort by BeagleBoard and Seeed Studio based on the open-source hardware design of BeagleBone Black. The BeagleBone Green is a Linux-based development board designed for fast interaction with general purpose input/output pins (GPIOs). The BeagleBone Green includes two Grove connectors, letting makers connect the board to sensors without requiring a daughter card (though the BeagleBone Green still supports daughter cards through two 46-pin headers). Complementing the BeagleBone Green, the Grove Starter Kit for BeagleBone Green contains 10 Grove modules and three step-by-step guides to help makers quickly build projects with the BeagleBone Green.

With its broad product line and unsurpassed customer service, Mouser caters to design engineers and buyers by delivering What’s Next in advanced technologies.
