Mouser Inspires with Free Development Kits, Newest Technologies and Virtual Reality Experience at electronica 2016
September 27, 2016, Munich, Germany – Mouser Electronics will be at electronica 2016 at the Messe München exhibition center, November 8 – 11, to inspire attendees with innovative products, technologies, and ideas. At Booth 524 in Hall A5, Mouser will be offering visitors the chance to win one of 15 development kits from leading manufacturers, demonstrating the latest in sensor and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, sharing a virtual reality journey through its massive Texas warehouse, and announcing the winners of its International Space Station (I.S.S.) Design Challenge. Additionally, key Mouser manufacturers Red Pitaya, Silicon Labs, Broadcom, Bourns, Sensirion, and Würth will be on hand to discuss their latest products, development kits and solutions across a wide variety of applications.
Visitors to the Mouser booth 524 can jump-start their designs by entering to win one of the latest high-end development kits from leading suppliers such as Analog Devices, Intel, NXP, and Texas Instruments. Engineers who are unable to attend electronica 2016 can enter Mouser’s Dev Kit Lottery at http://emea.info.mouser.com/electronica2016-contest.
Mouser will also demonstrate the latest sensing and connectivity solutions for IoT applications, including the Hexiwear IoT development platform developed by MikroElektronika and NXP. The Hexiwear platform is a small and sleek, low-power wearable development kit packed with sensors to help wearers quantify themselves and their environment. In addition, visitors to the Mouser booth can view an immersive virtual reality video that offers a 360-degree tour of Mouser’s 70,000 m² state-of-the-art warehouse. Attendees can virtually tour the warehouse — from stocking the newest products to pulling, packaging, and shipping orders — and then take home a cardboard VR headset (while supplies last).
Continuing the themes of innovation and inspiration, Mouser will show highlights from the recently launched Innovation Lab, part of the popular Empowering Innovation Together™ program featuring celebrity engineer Grant Imahara. Mouser will announce the winners of the I.S.S. Design Challenge, whose projects will be 3D-printed aboard the I.S.S., and will also show off the 3D-printed driverless car from the Essence of Autonomy series.
