Singapore – October 3, 2014 –Molex Incorporated will be participating in the AUTOMATION™ 2014 combined exhibition and conference in India, from 15-18 October. AUTOMATION 2014 is considered to be one of the largest and most important trade shows in Asia, and Molex will have a wide variety of its leading-edge interconnect solutions on display, including a selection of its very latest offerings for the industrial automation sector. All are welcome to visit Molex at Booth J19A, Hall 1, in the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.
Recent research* indicates growth of over 10% for the global industrial automation market to 2018. Asia will be a major beneficiary, as manufacturing is increasingly outsourced to the region, and India will be a primary destination. For suppliers of industrial automation infrastructure, India is emerging as a key target market.
“This is a very exciting time in industrial automation,” said Julie Tay, Director of Sales, Asean, at Molex. “The technologies are undergoing fast evolution, driven by falling costs and the accelerating deployment of safety systems, industrial PCs and other embedded systems. The development of sensor-based monitoring and control systems is another major factor. AUTOMATION 2014 gives Molex a golden opportunity to show our very latest offerings for the sector, as India undergoes a wave of dynamic growth as a technology leader and major manufacturing hub in Asia.”
Molex will highlight industrial automation products in these key categories: Brad Communications; Brad I/O & Networking; Brad Connectivity; Brad Power & Distribution; Non-Automotive Transportation Connectors; Westec Heavy Duty Connectors; FCT Connectors; and Aeromotive Balancers.
Highlights from this broad selection of Molex interconnect offerings will include:
- The Brad® series of Network Interface Cards (NICs). These provide a solution for interoperability across protocols, both in single systems and in the network. Another trend we are now seeing is an increased emphasis on safety in industrial automation. Here, Molex offers the Brad CIP™ Safety Stacks, a set of tool kits.
- In the I/O and Networking category, Brad Harsh-Duty IO Modules provide quick and reliable solutions for connecting industrial controllers to I/O devices in harsh environments. Other products on show will include Harsh-Duty I/O IP67 Modules and IP67 Ethernet Switches.
- In the Connectivity category Molex is offering an Industrial Ethernet Software Development Kit and a set of Simulation Tools, in its Brad product series. Brad protocol software stacks enable customers to design PROFINET IO-Controller and EtherNet/IP Scanner devices, for example.
- Power & Distribution products at the show will include Brad Power Cordsets and Receptacles, for fast, simple and reliable machine-tool installations. The Brad Micro-Change IP67-sealed M12 Circular Hybrid Technology (CHT) Connector and Cordsets combine Cat5e Ethernet speed with power lines for excellent signal integrity and optimal performance.
- The Non-Automotive Transportation Systems will include next-generation 84-way Sealed Rectangular Connectors (SRC). These use proven MX150™ and MX150L™ terminals to offer a hybrid, high power-and-signal circuit-count system for harsh applications in commercial vehicles. In addition, Molex XRC™ (Extra Rugged Circular) Sealed Plugs and Receptacles are IP67-rated and meet the demanding requirements of the transportation industry.
- Molex will feature Aero-Motive® Balancers with superior suspension features and Aero-Motive® Retractors which are ergonomic and cost-effective to improve productivity by keeping tools organized.
- Earlier this year Molex acquired the heavy-duty connector business of Westec s.r.l., and a representative range of these products will be on show.
- In 2013, Molex acquired FCT Electronics Group, a specialist in shielded connectors, and a range of these products will be on display.
