Interview with Mr. Chandmal Goliya, Director, KUSAM-MECO
1. Please start with your comments on the state of India test and measurement industry?
In India the Testing & Measuring industry is very vast. The Railways, Electricity Boards, Government Sectors, IIT fields, Defence, etc have more demands for the Testing & Measuring instruments. As the technology is advancing rapidly, the demand for the testing & measuring instruments is also expanding by leaps & bounds.
2. Can you share with us your growth rate in fiscal year 2013?
Due to the fluctuations in the Exchange Rate of the US Dollar vs INR, the growth rate figures are neither much better nor low in 2013 (approx 30% growth ) as compared to the year 2012. But we still hope & are putting our best efforts to increase the growth rate in the year 2014.
3. Kusam-Meco introduced multiple of test and measuring instruments, which sector/application you find most promising for your products?
We have introduced many new Testing & Measuring instruments for the Government Sectors, Railways, Colleges, IIT Fields, Defence, Electricity Board, Power Stations, etc and we see more demands for this multiple Testing & Measuring instruments as new applications are generated due to advancement in Technology in other related fields.
4. In the competitive field, have you changed your marketing strategies recently? If yes, can you discuss more about your distribution and plans?
As the market was down due to the exorbitant increase in the USD vs INR we planned the marketing of our products keeping in mind the situation so that our Customer can prefer our products even when the market is at recession.
5. Can you please elucidate the contribution of R&D in the success of your products?
R&D plays an important part in the success of any products. And with the increasing demands, technology & development we developed separate centre for the research & development of our products.
6. New applications driving demand for latest products, how are you keeping your products in pace with technology demands?
New technologies in related fields demand the use of new & advanced instruments with higher capabilities, ‘KUSAM-MECO’ also introduced instruments with new features to meet this demand.
7. Please update us with Kusam-Meco latest initiatives and achievements?
We are planning to introduce our new product range such as Insulation Tester with 15 kV , Multifunction Power Analyser, Vibration Meter with sensor probe , Infra Red Thermometers, Coating Thickness Gauge, Solar Power Meter with Orientation & tilt angle, Low Frequency Field Intensity Meter, etc.
For our better technology, superior quality products we are awarded with ISO 9001: 2008. We also co-operate with National Accredited Laboratories like ERTL, IDEMI, etc to maintain quality standards at our company.
8. How do you review the future of your company growth and what are the challenges?
With its better technology products & reasonable prices & good service ‘KUSAM-MECO’ will expand not only in the Indian market but will also reach to the customer in the International market. And to meet the challenges ‘KUSAM-MECO’ has a great team which includes the Admin, Designers, R&D, Sales, Accounts, etc who put their full effort to come up with the challenges.
