KPIT (BSE: 532400; NSE: KPIT), a global technology company specializing in product engineering and IT consulting today kicked off ‘Sparkle 2015’ – a design and development innovation contest, in association with College of Engineering, Pune. Through this contest, KPIT seeks to foster a culture of innovation among engineering students by inviting their ideas and viable business plans around the theme ‘Towards Better Mobility and Energy’.
The contest is open to all engineering students where the participants, through individual or team projects, will submit their innovative solutions for real world problems, and compete to win prizes worth INR 20,00,000/- and nationwide recognition.
Ravi Pandit, Co-founder, Chairman & Group CEO, KPIT said, “Engineering students in India are bustling with new ideas to solve problems with widespread implications. We want these students to invest their time and efforts to design and develop solutions that can deliver bigger impact, at significantly lower costs to impact large number of lives. Two areas that influence most number of people globally are mobility and energy. Therefore, Sparkle 2015 will focus on these two areas and winners will be selected from the entries that endeavor to provide game-changing solutions to problems in these areas.” He further added, “Innovation is a way of life at KPIT and we would like to contribute toward building an innovative society by building scientific and technology acumen among students and young professionals.“
