“We applaud the Karnataka Government on the policies announced in the State Budget 2018. We are very optimistic about the intention to promote hardware equipment and semiconductor chip design and development, Semiconductor Fabless Accelerator Lab (SFAL) that will be established in association with India Electronics and Semiconductor Association. In addition, the announcement of a Centre for Excellence (CoE) will enable designers to establish and promote entrepreneurial design and design products. Along with the existing state support to the start-up community, this will be a huge impetus for the state’s IT, BT and Science and Technology sectors.”
