- Forays into Solar Defence applications, targets revenues of Rs. 600 crore

New Delhi, 10th March, 2014: Jakson Group, India’s leading power solutions company, today unveiled blueprint to up revenue share in its total earnings from solar business. As part of its strategy, the company is targeting revenue of Rs. 600 crore by March 2017 through expanding its solar power production (IPP), mobile & containerised solar gensets and EPC portfolio. The company also plans to increase its solar business presence in overseas market primarily in Middle East and Africa.
Jakson is already getting strong response for its stand alone solar mobile & containerised gensets. Jakson recently introduced India’s first environment friendly Solar Gensets as part of its plan to launch innovative solar products.
Apart from this, the company plans to enter into Indian Defence Sector with a vision to become an integral part of Indigenization drive started by Ministry of Defence. Jakson will offer its innovative solar product line in the defence sector for their power needs at remote locations.

The company has commissioned its first 20 MW solar power plant at BAP, Jodhpur District, Rajasthan in February, 2013 with an investment of Rs 200 crore. The company plans to further expand the capacity from 20 MW to 100 MW with an investment of additional Rs. 600 crore by 2017. The company is currently implementing 10 MW solar project in Bundelkhand region, Uttar Pradesh, with an investment of Rs. 80 crore.
Jakson has state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Greater Noida (NCR) region to manufacture solar products. The plant is expected to manufacture 5000 units per annum of the current range of solar products besides having the capacity to produce another 5000 units per annum of new products which shall be added to the offerings from Jakson in due course. The company is in the process of setting up new dealers and distributions network to market these new products in India and Overseas.
