Indium Corporation was presented with the Surface Mount Technology Association(SMTA)’s Corporate Award on Tuesday, September 30, at the Members of Distinction Awards Ceremony at SMTA International in Rosemont, Ill.
The SMTA Corporate Award is presented to an SMTA member company that has shown exceptional support for the association. This award is not based on a product or a process, but rather on the ways a company has contributed to the overall success of the SMTA.
“Indium Corporation has not only continuously shown its support and commitment to the SMTA, but it has also remained steadfast in its dedication to maintaining high standards of professionalism in the industry,” said JoAnn Stromberg, SMTA administrator.
Since the beginning of 2014, Indium Corporation has participated in 17 SMTA trade shows and given 20 presentations at SMTA events. In 2012, they were presented with the Member Sponsor of the Year award by the SMTA China Chapter. Additionally, Indium Corporation has participated and partnered with the SMTA by serving on multiple association committees, such as the SMTA Process Engineer Certification Committee, SMTA Exhibitors Committee, and SMTA Board of Directors. Company employees also co-authored the book The Handbook of Electronics Assembly, which serves as a guide for engineers pursuing their SMTA Process Engineer Certification.
