Argo EMS is pleased to announce, as part of our Continuous Improvement journey, the selection of VI Technology as our 3D Solder Paste Inspection supplier of choice!
After extensive evaluation, Argo has entered into an agreement to acquire VI Technology’s latest three-dimensional automated solder paste inspection system, the PI Primo platform.
The PI Primo system brings exceptional volumetric and positional accuracy measurement capability to Argo and keeps us moving toward Industry 4.0 machine communication capability with its Sigma Link software platform. The system will communicate both upstream with the Speedline Momentum HiE printer and downstream with our Fuji AIMEX IIs placement gear and AOI platforms.
Since upgrading our paste print platform, last year, we have enjoyed the benefits of 2D paste inspection. We will now enjoy the “certainty of process” that 100% 3D volumetric solder paste inspection will bring. Our team firmly believes that “If the paste isn’t perfect, nothing good happens farther down the SMT line!”
