7 September 2021 – Novator Solutions introduces HUGIN 2000 with improved signal quality, flexibility/usability, and up-time
HUGIN 2000, the high dynamic range networked multichannel receiver with two 50MHz, 80MHz or 200MHz real-time bandwidth per input and 2048 individually configurable DDCs is now even more fitting your COMINT and other narrowband monitoring needs.

Improved signal quality, flexibility/usability, and up-time.
The major investment went into upgrading the core firmware, which provides up to 1024 narrow band DDCs per receiver. The entire internal signal path now handles 32-bit IQ-data resulting in higher dynamic range. On top the channel filters are narrower & sharper and the automatic gain control “AGC” gets an overhaul.
The upgraded signal quality improves both the channel-selectivity and the dynamic performance enabling operators to detect previously hidden signals and weak signals from far distance.
“The close collaboration with our Partner RFEL, which is a Rheinmetall company, was significant to achieve the new level of signal quality.”, says Henrik Ulfhielm, CEO for Novator Solutions
HUGIN 2000 has several improvements increasing the flexibility and the usability at the same time. The most noteworthy is, frequency offset setting, enabling the use of external up/down-converters which effectively increases the frequency range.
The upgrade includes some additional features as well boosting the up-time. The recovery time after an unexpected overvoltage has enhanced significantly and automatic restart options are now configurable.
