Apart from confirming the price and availability of the HTC One (M8) smartphone, the Taiwanese smartphone maker has also introduced new budget smartphone HTC Desire 210 Dual SIM and mid-range HTC Desire 816.
The HTC Desire 210 Dual SIM has been officially announced at Rs. 8,700 and will be available by April end, while the HTC Desire 816 will be available at Rs. 23,990 “within two weeks.”
The HTC Desire 210 Dual SIM runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with company’s Sense UI on top. It comes with a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display. As the name suggests, it is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device and supports one Micro-SIM and another regular SIM size.
It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572M) processor alongside 512MB of RAM. The Desire 210 Dual SIM sports 5-megapixel rear camera, while also houses a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
The smartphone offers 4GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, EDGE/GPRS and 3G. The phone is backed by a 1300mAh battery.
The HTC Desire 816, on the other hand, comes with a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) display and is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, alongside 1.5GB of RAM. It includes 8GB of inbuilt storage with support for microSD cards up to 128GB.
There’s no word on the Android version on the HTC Desire 816, though HTC did confirm the presence of a brand new HTC Sense 5.5 UI on top. It sports a 13-megapixel f/2.2 rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
