GIROPTIC’s 360Cam among one of the first 360 degree cameras compatible with YouTube’s new spherical format
GIROPTIC has created the world’s first 360° HD camera which it claims can let you see the world “Up, Down and All Around”. They are quite excited after Youtube has made announcement stating that they will soon be supporting the 360° formats. This will come into effect from later this year and with YouTube 360, users will be able to share and interact with spherical videos. After usage, you will find out that 360cam by GIROPTIC is extremely user friendly which will be fully compatible with the new platform.
Marian Le Calvez, Head of Marketing and Communications for GIROPTIC, says “With over 300 hours of video uploaded to YouTube every day and more than 1 billion people visiting YouTube every month, GIROPTIC is excited to be part of this next generation platform. The 360cam is easy to use and is the perfect introductory camera to help users begin to easily and seamlessly upload and share their adventures on the new platform.”
As far as the YouTube 360 is concerned, it is just a new video format with which users can not only shoot a 360 degree video but also upload it via YouTube. In addition to this, users can playback and interact with those spherical videos using a keyboard and mouse on their PC or finger and gyroscope on their mobile device. The GIROPTIC 360cam is rugged enough to be sturdy for practical use and is also the lightest and most versatile camera currently available in the market.
The camera spots three 185 degree fish-eye lenses which can automatically merge in real-time as one stunning image through GIROPTIC’s unique process. With this camera you will be able to produce breath-taking views from all around in high-definition. The pictures captured from the camera will have a resolution of 4K (4096 x 2048) and the videos will be shot in 2K (2048 x 1024). You can see the camera on display at the CES at the Sands, booth #72070.
