EPCOS, a TDK Group Company showcased innovative products at electronica India 2016 exhibition from September 21–23 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre in Bengaluru.
The TDK portfolio includes electronic components, modules and systems marketed under the product brands TDK and EPCOS, power supplies, magnetic application products as well as energy devices, flash memory application devices, and others. TDK focuses on demanding markets in the areas of information and communication technology and consumer, automotive and industrial electronics.
Products
The diverse range of EPCOS components, modules and systems includes capacitors, ferrites and inductors, high-frequency components and modules, piezo and protection devices, as well as sensors. Electronic components, modules and systems are found today in almost every item of electrical equipment, where they are essential for guaranteeing perfect functionality. In smartphones, notebooks and televisions they perform key functions, as they also do in cars and trucks, washing machines and LED lamps, in industrial machine tools or in electric railways, wind farms and photovoltaic plants. In all these applications EPCOS products process electrical signals, protect electronic circuits and ensure their fault-free operation.
Products displayed at booth:
- World’s smallest module* for Bluetooth 4.1 low energy (LE) specification, TDK SESUB-PAN-D14580 module of just 3.5 mm x 3.5 mm x 1.0 mm, reducing the footprint by over 60 percent compared to modules with discrete components. The module features an integrated DC-DC converter. It is ideal for use in battery-powered wearable devices.
- A series of EPCOS snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitors, whose ripple current capability is up to 25 percent higher than for the types of the preceding EPCOS series. The components are designed for rated voltages of 200 V DC to 450 V DC and cover a capacitance range from 82 μF to 3300 μF. Under continuous operation at 105 °C, the useful life of these capacitors is 3000 hours. Applications of these snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitors are converters and power supplies for use in industrial electronics.
- With the series of common-mode chokes for automotive Ethernet, TDK also introduced world’s best common-mode noise suppression. The miniaturized ACT45L series is the world’s smallest common-mode choke for automotive Ethernet and fulfills the standard’s stiffest requirements. Automotive Ethernet systems for in-vehicle multimedia and infotainment such as cameras for driver assistance, navigation systems and audio information are its prominent applications.
- Angle sensors operating on the TMR (tunnel magnetoresistance) principle that consist of two superposed ferromagnets, separated by an extremely thin insulating layer. With a combination of high measurement sensitivity with a high output voltage and angle measurement accuracy these sensors give developers significantly higher degrees of flexibil-ity for their design work.
- Extremely low-tolerance TDK high-voltage ceramic capacitors are a key module in the sensitive automatic load break switches. The new TDK UHV ceramic capacitors feature a durable and robust design and are vital component in the IT switch used as voltage or potential dividing capacitors. Innovative TDK components are increasingly supporting new applications such as smart grids and thus further contributing to the improvement of energy efficiency.
- TDK Corporation presents a series of rugged EPCOS axial-lead aluminum electrolytic capacitors for automotive electronics. These components are distinguished by their very high ripple current capability and vibration resistance. The major applications are engine management and fuel-injection systems, gearbox controllers, power steering systems, as well as control units for fans, windshield wipers, or oil and water pumps.
