The new thermal imagers testo 865 and testo 868
With the new thermal imagers testo 865 and testo 868 from the measurement specialist Testo, the entry into the world of thermography is more attractive than ever before. Both models stand out, thanks to the cutting-edge technology “Made in Germany”, easy operation and a groundbreaking price-performance ratio.
Thermal imagers are indispensable tool for preventive mechanical and electrical maintenance and are also very useful for HVACR contractors. Till now, the major disadvantages were their costly acquisition and complicated handling but all this changes with the new testo 865 and testo 868.
The best thermal image in its class
Both new thermal imagers from Testo have a resolution of 160 x 120 pixels. With the testo Super Resolution technology included as standard, this can even be increased at a PC to 320 x 240 pixels. No comparable thermal imager in the market has better image quality.
The testo Thermography App
The testo Thermography App is completely new. It turns the user’s smartphone/tablet into a second display and a remote control for the thermal imager testo 868. With the App, available for iOS and Android, compact reports are made quickly on site, saved online and sent by e-mail.
Objectively comparable images
With the testo ScaleAssist function the thermal imagers testo 865 and testo 868 make it possible to record objectively comparable thermal images of buildings. This new development adapts the colour distribution of the thermal image scale to the inner and outer temperatures of the measurement object, and the difference between them. This ensures objectively comparable and error-free thermal images of the thermal insulation behaviour of a building. (Refer image: 1.1 Without testo ScaleAssist and 1.2 With testo ScaleAssist)
Automatic setting of emissivity
The model testo 868 stands out, thanks to its additional feature for emissivity measurement. With the testo ε-Assist, it automatically sets the emissivity and the reflected temperature. Both values are indispensable for precise thermal images, however determining them was previously time-consuming, and with regard to reflected temperature, less than accurate. That all changes with the testo ε-Assist. In order to use this function, a special sticker (ε-marker) is attached to the measurement object. Via their integrated digital camera, the thermal imager recognizes the sticker, measures the emissivity and reflected temperature and sets both values automatically.
The thermal imagers testo 865 and testo 868 are now available directly from Testo or expert channel partners.
