The Eragon410 Development Kit, System-on-Module (SoM) and eInfochips Design Services accelerate solutions for Industrial & Building Automation, Security & Surveillance, Robotics, Infotainment & Displays (Automotive and Avionics), Media Broadcast and Digital Signage.
Ahmedabad— September 1, 2015: eInfochips® (www.einfochips.com) has announced their new Eragon410 Development Kit and System-on-Module(SoM), based on the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 410 processor, a product of Qualcomm Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, for companies to design embedded products and solutions. eInfochips is now accepting Orders for Eragon 410.
Qualcomm Technologies’ 64-bit capable Snapdragon 410 processor is based on quad-core ARM® Cortex® A53 and offers advanced processing capabilities at low power. Utilizing the Qualcomm® Adreno™ 306 GPU that enables high quality graphics to support HD video playback and capture for multimedia applications. Leveraging on the Snapdragon 410 processor’s performance and feature-rich functionality, eInfochips offers a powerful and low cost platform engineered to allow rapid development of solutions and to address the expanding embedded computing and Internet of Everything (IoE) platforms using Android, Linux and Windows 10 operating systems.
“The Snapdragon 410 processor is a powerful enablement technology for embedded solutions providers to support off-the-shelf or custom system-on-modules, support and design services for commercial deployments,” said Tia Cassett, senior director, product management, Qualcomm Technologies Inc. “We see a lot of potential in the Eragon 410 system on modules for enabling embedded and IoE products.”
The Eragon 410 product line is based on an ultra-small (26mm x 35mm) System-on-Module that acts as a building block for a wide range of products requiring low power consumption and connectivity, while providing a superior multimedia experience with solid processing power. The development kit comprises of a state of the art connector-less carrier board that interfaces the SoM via edge castellation for an added cost and size benefit. This benefit of Price, Performance, Package and Power makes the Eragon410 an ideal solution for robotics, infotainment, automation and control, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, including wearable technology. eInfochips also provides design services that help ensure the seamless transition of software developed on the DragonBoard™ 410c community board to the Eragon 410 platform for commercialization.
Parag Mehta, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at eInfochips said, “After the successful launch of our Eragon600 platform, eInfochips is now engaged with several customers for new product development. With over 1,500 professionals involved in hardware and software development, we are geared up for a great success with the Eragon410.”
