e2v, the leading high reliability semiconductor solutions provider, announced that it has completed full qualification of the QP54ACT139 Decoder/Demultiplexer. This device serves as a drop-in replacement for the industry standard 54ACT139 device. It has been fully re-engineered and manufactured on a bipolar process and meets the original manufacturer’s specifications for military and aerospace applications.
The QP54ACT139 provides two independent decoders, each accepting two inputs and providing four mutually-exclusive active-LOW outputs. Each decoder has an active-LOW enabled input which can be used as a data input for a 4-output demultiplexer. Each half of the QP54ACT139 can be used as a function generator providing all four minterms of two variables.
These devices are available in three package options: a 16-pin ceramic DIP, a 20-pin ceramic LCC and a 16-pin ceramic flat pack. They are manufactured in compliance with the latest revision of MIL-PRF-38535, making them ideally suited for military temperature applications. These devices are available as commercial, industrial and full MIL-STD-883 devices.
“e2v continually monitors the state of a large number of SMD parts through our Semiconductor Lifecycle Management (SLiM™) program,” said Robert Brevelle, President of e2v inc. “Customers require this device for their solutions, and there was not a DLA-approved supplier to meet these requirements. We undertook a complete redesign using internal company funding, and now this fully qualified device is available to support the diverse needs of the customer community.”
