Letv ecosystem roll out underway in India, US & Hong Kong
Bangalore, Karnataka , India-
In a rare public appearance, Jia Yueting, the founder of Letv, an internet and video streaming conglomerate and also the first to go public in its space with market capitalization of $12billion, made an impressive and impassioned speech to an audience gathering at the China Entrepreneur Summit on December 5th. Jia believes Chinese companies are to lead global economy into the internet ecosystem era in the next decade.
Jia said the industrial pattern that has been ossified for hundreds of years resulted in the western developed economies losing their vitality, because this pattern with highly-specialized divisions created in the era of industrialization and traditional Internet has become the largest obstacle for the current transformative innovation scenario. This paves the way for an external force to make outside-in breakthroughs and innovations.
In Jia’s opinion, those who lead the Internet ecosystem would be the countries and enterprises simultaneously possessing the markets and capabilities in relation to technology, culture and Internet, and having advantages in integrating the three sectors, breaking boundaries, making trans-border innovations and leading the organic model of the global Internet.
“Internet-industry integration and Internet-consumer electronics integration are the important development trends for the future. Only Chinese enterprises have these core advantages. The next decade will bring about historical opportunities for Chinese Internet ecosystem enterprises to surpass those of Europe, the U.S., Japan and South Korea on a comprehensive, global scale.”
What will the global economy become in the next decade? Jia said that technological innovation model followed by the industrial era and traditional Internet era had no future, as they have been unable to meet the demand of the modern age. To catalyze the development of industry drive the global economy to usher in explosive growth, the potential of trans-border innovation needs to be unleashed to create nuclear fusion like effects and produce brand-new value, he added.
From Jia’s point of view, only the cross-industry vertical integration of value chains can generate intense synergistic interaction and bring out the brand-new user value.
“The driving force for innovation in the next generation is undoubtedly the cross-industry vertical integration of value chains. It can truly break the boundaries of industries and innovation platforms formed in the industrial era of specialization over the past decades, thus bringing out the power of innovation, creating enormous economic value and leading the global economy into an era of Internet ecosystem.”
Jia indicated that thanks to the Le ecosystem, which is based on the vertical integration of industry chains and the cross-industry chain reorganization, Letv has successfully created a brand-new eco-economy. It has done this by breaking the boundaries of industries, organizations and countries.
With the open-ended closed-loop Letv Ecosystem, Letv has made initial success in globalization. On December 1, Le Super TV accomplished a milestone event for Letv globalization: it has officially been marketed in the U.S. In the China market, the SuperTV has won over Sony, Samsung & L.G. by virtue of its unique ecosystem model. In Hong Kong, within two months of online sales only, the sales volume of one individual model surpassed that of LG and Samsung. Now, the Super TV will compete with Sony, Samsung & L.G head-on in the U.S. market.
Currently, the Letv ecosystem has been fully rolled out in the U.S. and Hong Kong, with the roll out underway in India. The “Beijing, Los Angeles, and Silicon Valley” business triangle has reported preliminary success as well.
Jia concluded with an inspirational message that the best way to change the future was to create it. He added that if one wanted to be a change-maker it would be pointless to wait for an opportunity, instead of creating your own future and soar like an eagle in the sky.
It is also noteworthy that the summit was aired live on all channels by LeCloud, the largest Chinese cloud platform for sharing and releasing content, and the Letv Tech Channel. Apart from letv.com, Le Superphones and Le Super TVs, LeCloud also released the event through cooperative distribution channels within the ecosystem. With such a “shared distribution model”, the summit and the brand were publicized with the widest coverage and to optimal effect. This is LeCloud’s brand-new industrial model integrating content and distribution on a comprehensive basis, witnessing the openness of the Letv ecosystem.
