Brussels, Belgium, 11th September 2018 – Avnet Silica, an Avnet company (NASDAQ: AVT), today announced it has received the ‘Distributor of the Year’ award from Nordic Semiconductor ASA, a fabless semiconductor company specializing in ultra low power (ULP) and low power wireless communication.
The ‘Distributor of the Year’ award was presented to Avnet Silica at Nordic’s recent annual sales conference. The award was earned due to many factors, however Avnet Silica’s ‘overall engagement and exceptional revenue growth of more than 300 percent’ was highlighted by Nordic Semiconductor. Avnet Silica was named a distributor for Nordic Semiconductor products in July 2015, with the aim to focus on the company’s Bluetooth low energy (BLE) and wireless charging technologies.
