European team at Avnet Silica recognised for exceptional performance in 2017
Poing, Germany, 19 September 2017 – Avnet Silica, an Avnet company (NYSE: AVT), has received the ‘Design Win Growth’ award from Finisar for its performance within Europe in 2017. Finisar is a leading supplier of optical communication products and the award was presented in recognition of Avnet Silica’s successful design-in strategy.
This award was specifically in relation to achievements in winning strategic accounts, whilst maintaining momentum with a large number of other design wins across Europe. The new design wins addressed new applications in markets such as industrial, medical, automotive and consumer by leveraging Finisar’s leadership position in transceiver space and Finisar’s key technologies like high power VCSELs.
