Gothenburg/Sweden, October 14, 2015 – ARCCORE, the independent embedded software company, is proud to announce that they have been invited to participate in the pre-development of embedded software platform technology for highly autonomous driving and the next generation of active safety features.
Contributing with its world-class technology, ARCCORE aims to support the realization of the large-scale highly autonomous driving pilot project “Drive Me”. Drive Me is the world’s biggest large-scale pilot project where self-driving cars will be deployed on public roads in the Gothenburg area.
To support the development of highly autonomous vehicles, ARCCORE extends its embedded software platform Arctic Core, following the Automotive standard AUTOSAR, to fully leverage on next generation multicore microcontrollers and provide a multi-operating system environment. To facilitate the development of new complex solutions, ARCCORE introduces safe inter-core communication mechanisms, secure high-performance communication technologies like Ethernet and FlexRay, and enables a highly efficient interface to operating systems like Linux and others.
