Rancho Cucamonga, CA – September 2014 – Aqueous Technologies, North America’s largest manufacturer of fully automated cleaning/defluxing machines and cleanliness testing equipment, announces that Mike Konrad and John Hall will present at the Assembly Cleaning, Coating and Reliability Workshop. The event is scheduled to take place Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at Henkel Consumer Goods Inc.’s facility in Scottsdale, AZ.

Over the past several years, the electronic assembly industry has seen cleaning (defluxing) become more necessary and more challenging. The amount of tolerable assembly residue is less than ever before. Modern issues such as electro-chemical migration and electrical leakage are creating quantifiable reliability issues as well as associated liability concerns.

Konrad and Hall will discuss the history of electronics cleaning and no-clean flux’s impact on assembly reliability electrochemical migration. They will explorethe three common failure mechanisms: dendritic growth, parasitic leakage and conductive anodic filament (CAF).

Hall is Aqueous Technologies’ National Sales Manager and has worked in the electronics, cleaning and cleanliness testing industry for the past nine years. His experience with contamination-related reliability causes and mitigation techniques makes him a popular speaker on the subject of cleaning and reliability. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree.

Konrad is an SMT Advisory Board member and President of Aqueous Technologies. Konrad was a member of IPC’s Stencil Cleaning Task Group, contributing to the IPC-7526 Stencil and Misprinted Board Cleaning Handbook and IPC 5-31Cleaning Handbook.

This event is FREE and seating is limited. Register now to reserve your seat. For more information about Aqueous Technologies, visit www.aqueoustech.com.
