Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) is organizing a one day program on 3D Digitizing – Latest trends and applications on 18 July 2014 at Bangalore.
3D Digitising plays an important role in the product development cycle – be it Design of a new part or systematic evaluation of existing product for improving quality and efficiency or Recovery of a damaged or broken part. The process needs hardware and software that work together. The hardware is used to measure an object, and the software reconstructs it as a 3-D model. The physical object can be measured and validated using 3-D scanning technologies like a coordinate measuring machine, portable arms, laser scanner, structured light digitizer, or computed tomography.
The applications of 3D digitising are quite wide spread in vast and divergent fields including consumer products, automotive, aerospace, medical, military, manufacturing, assemblies, education, film production and packaging industries. Together with CAD/CAM/CAE and Additive manufacturing technologies, 3D digitising offers many possibilities and benefits and has proved to save time and money when used as part of the product development process. It enables testing, validation and improving designs earlier in the design cycle, ensuring any issues are resolved before committing to mass production.
Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) is organizing a one day program on 3D Digitizing – Latest trends and applications on 18 July 2014 at Bangalore. This program will give a clear knowledge to participants on 3D Digitising methodologies with practical demonstration of equipment.
This programme will be conducted by Indsutry experts from Faro India, Hexagon Metrology and Steinbichler GmbH.
