The SIPLACE team of ASM Assembly Systems will present its market-leading hardware, software and service solutions at the Shanghai Nepcon show , Shanghai World Expo Convention & Exhibition Center, C-1G01) with live demonstrations, once again providing tangible proof of its innovative strengths.
On display, amongst other highlights, will be the industry’s fastest and most flexible placement machines, the SIPLACE SX and SIPLACE X4i S, as well as the price/performance winner SIPLACE Di Making its debut at the show will be the new version of the SIPLACE SpeedStar placement head: stronger and faster than before, the 20-segment head sets down an unprecedented performance record in the electronics industry and will boost a four-gantry SIPLACE X4i S to a benchmark of an impressive 150,000 components per hour.
Another strong focus point for Nepcon 2014 will be the company’s intelligent workflow support: for the different workflows of scheduling, NPI, production and optimization, the SIPLACE team will present sophisticated software tools. Each workflow is designed to help production planners, setup preparation technicians, machine operators, line managers, production managers and maintenance engineers alike.
The SIPLACE team also will emphasize its global technology leadership by showcasing its findings on the entire 03015 process chain ranging from board and pad design to solder paste application to placement and reflow. Live placement of 03015 can be seen on the booth.
“Automation definitely makes the difference in successful electronic manufacturing. Based on our vast experience with SMD relevant production processes and automation in the electronics factory we are definitely the right choice, when it comes to support electronics manufacturers to achieve even higher levels of automation. We know the technology and production trends – and with our highly innovative SIPLACE portfolio and Germany’s long-lasting experience with fully automated factory setups, we are the right partner for every kind of automation challenges and visions.” says Joe Poh, CEO of SIPLACE China Cluster.
SIPLACE’s #1 machine portfolio for China electronics manufacturers
THE SIPLACE SX and SIPLACE X4i S presented at the booth are perfectly suited to the China manufacturing demands for flexibility and high performance.
The new SIPLACE X4i S positions the SIPLACE X-Series as the platform of choice for high-volume applications. But since flexibility also plays an increasingly important role in this segment, the SIPLACE X-Series also offers options like the SIPLACE Glue Feeder, Linear Dip Flux Unit and support for PoP placement applications.
The highly flexible SIPLACE SX still is the #1 solution of choice in China: its gantries, including placement heads, can easily be added or removed by the user. This makes it possible to move placement capacity between lines or to rent extra gantries when short-term demand spikes make this necessary. These features are complemented by the SIPLACE MultiStar placement head, which can automatically switch between three placement modes (Collect & Place, Pick & Place and Mixed Mode). Packed with innovative software, the SIPLACE Di stands for proven placement quality and maximum process reliability. It is also unbeatable in terms of its price-performance ratio. Technological specialties that are hard to find or not available at all in this segment are standard on the SIPLACE Di-Series.
In the spotlight: Workflows
The comprehensive SIPLACE software suite was designed to complement the powerful SIPLACE X, SIPLACE SX and SIPLACE CA platforms. The software tools are designed to support and optimize key workflows in areas of scheduling, NPI, production and optimization. The latest planning tool, SIPLACE SiCluster Professional Multiline, allows users to create family set ups across an entire factory of SMT production lines. The intelligent software helps to assign products into different families in order to ensure a minimum amount of changeovers for any given production schedule – and for the entire factory, spanning multiple lines. It even takes into account line-specific restrictions (feeder options, AOI, etc.) as well as product-specific restrictions .
