TE’s CeeLok FAS-X connectors become the first MIL-DTL-32546 approved high-speed connectors on the market
HARRISBURG, Pa. – May 25, 2021– TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, received The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) approval for its CeeLok FAS-X connector product line for MIL-DTL-32546. Designed with standard 38999 shells and reliable AS39029 contacts, TE’s CeeLok FAS-X connector is currently the only MIL-DTL-32546 approved solution for high-speed networking for both military and aerospace applications. As one of the most demanding and stringent military standards for connector quality and performance, this connector combines rugged reliability with signal integrity to support current high-speed protocols.
The CeeLok FAS-X connector offers a size and weight savings compared with market legacy solutions such as RJ45 in M38999. It stands out offering a size 11 shell versus a size 19 shell. TE’s smaller yet effective CeeLok FAS-X connector offers a great range of inserts for size 25 shells and other connectivity needs.
“When we were approached by NAVAIR to build a defense detail specification around our FAS-X product line, we met the challenge head-on,” said Sean Bonifas, product manager for TE’s Aerospace, Defense and Marine division. “It says a lot about the position of our CeeLok FAS-X connector in the market that NAVAIR chose to adopt it to become their specification. This connector, with its modular inserts, is a very versatile product line that can support a variety of applications.”
TE’s CeeLok FAS-X connectors are not only fast but quiet and offer up to 10 Gb/s data delivery along with the convenience of fast field assembly, termination and repair. The “X” pin configuration is designed to optimize signal integrity. The connectors are offered in both aluminum and composite shells with a variety of finishes.
