PCB packaging has expanded Keystone Electronics Corp’s selection of Coin & Button Cell Battery Retainers.
These new retainers are manufactured of Phosphor Bronze with Tin-nickel plating and engineered with reliable spring tension to ensure low contact resistance while firmly securing batteries within retainers. This micro battery retainer accepts all 5.8mm diameter lithium and silver oxide batteries from all major manufacturers and is compatible with all soldering and reflow operations (including lead free and high temperature) and with most vacuum and mechanical pick-and-place assembly systems.
The SMT version features solder tails located outside of retainer body to ease visual inspection of solder joints while the THM version features snap-in legs to maintain retainer secure during the soldering process. For SMT retainers, use Cat. # 2986 for bulk requests or Cat. # 2986TR for tape-and-reel. Use Cat. #2987 for the THM version.
