125-1200W; leading power density; accessories included

FiDUS Power, the technical power supply distributor specialising in innovative solutions and new products that benefit system designers as they seek to differentiate their end products, can now deliver samples of modular power products from its facility based in Aldermaston in just two days. Utilizing industrial and medically approved configurable power supplies, the company can build a huge number of configurations of fully-approved power supplies from 125-1200W.

efTo enable this vital design support service, FiDUS holds stock of medical and industrial AC front ends and DC output modules which each individually carry the relevant safety approval. Power solutions can be configured from 1.5 to 240VDC with currents up to 100A and up to 16 outputs. Interconnects, busbars and loom kits are also stocked to make it simple for engineers to connect products to their systems without having to purchase a new crimp tool or hunt down housing connectors and pins.

The configured supplies are built on 600W and 1200W front ends with standard 3×5” and 6×6” footprints respectively, resulting in very high power densities. Devices are fully-featured, with remote control and monitoring capability of both voltage and current, AC and DC OK signals, 2 x 5V standby rail, global and individual inhibit/enable. The units have a full set of industrial and medical safety approvals to the latest editions, high quality EMC passes and field proven reliability.

Comments Mark Gibbons, Engineering Manager at FiDUS Power: “The power supply is often left to the final part of the design cycle, until features are finalized by product characterization and market trials. Therefore it is important for design engineers that they can get exactly the power configuration they require on very short lead times. Otherwise they may miss their market window or be forced to compromise.”

These new modular power products can be used in a wide range of applications where power density, reliability, versatility, control and monitoring are key. Medical devices, industrial lasers, material testing, semi-fab, industrial automation, outdoor communications and robotics are some of the areas where the products have been successfully used. As with most FiDUS power supplies, engineering samples can be delivered from stock on short lead-times, and all models are backed by the company’s 5-year warranty.
