Dynamic EMS announced today that it has strengthened its customer-facing team with the appointment of a Key Account Manager.
Leading UK based Electronics Manufacturing Service provider (EMS) has expanded its ‘dynamic’ team with the appointment of Steven Gallacher as Key Account Manager.
Steven has held various scalable positions throughout his career, as Principal Design Engineer for an SME specialising in Telecoms conformance test, to Business Unit Manager within a demanding Tier I EMS environment, gaining a wealth of experience that he plans to transfer into his new ‘dynamic’ role.
As a Key Account Manager for Dynamic EMS, Steven will be responsible for the health and well-being of strategic customers, anticipating and identifying their needs and wants, whilst structuring a design, development, and distribution solution to satisfy their long-term business objectives.
John Dignan, Owner, and MD of Dynamic EMS commented; “Steven has 30+ years of experience and expertise in the electronics sector, from manufacturing and engineering, through to the commercial side of the business in Key Account Management. He has a proven track record for the introduction and growth of customers within an EMS environment throughout the market segments that Dynamic EMS operates; aviation, communications, computing, energy, industrial, medical and safety. With Steven’s engineering background, he has the added ability to think about our customer’s products from a developmental perspective, ensuring that they are Designed for Manufacture (DFM). This aptitude adds value for our Dynamic EMS customers, as it means that their primary interface has the skill to cover commercial, operational and technical matters.”
On his new position, Steven stated; “I’m delighted to join team Dynamic. I’m proud to contribute to a company that has such a strong culture, identity, and reputation in the UK electronics manufacturing market. John has spoken often about his paternalistic approach to business as he nurtures not only his internal team but also the customers as they scale. I am enthused by Dynamics reactive approach to supporting Customers and I’m looking forward to seeing where my journey with Dynamic EMS takes me.”
John concluded by adding; “The role of ‘Account Manager’ within EMS is one of the most demanding. Being customer facing, they are company ambassadors, as well as making everything run behind the scenes like a well-oiled machine. From quote preparation, order loading and material procurement, to production lifecycle manager and general problem solver, the Key Account Manager runs across the business in a multi-functional, multidisciplined mode. No two customers are alike within an EMS environment, forecasts fluctuate, and at present component sourcing is challenging the entire industry. The Account Manager is the gel that holds the business together, from a customer’s viewpoint, through to engineering and manufacturing. They are one of the unsung heroes in manufacturing, so join us in welcoming Steven to our team, driving operations in a Dynamic way.”
