244 companies from five countries showcasing the latest solar LED lights and smartlighting innovations for urban and rural sustainability at the 18th edition of the three day show.
India’s only biggest and trendsetting expo showcasing the latest technology in the LED and Lighting sector, the 18th edition of LED Expo Mumbai 2018 was flagged off today by ShriRajinder U Patil, Chief Engineer (Planning), Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport (BEST) Undertaking, Mumbai, Maharashtra, who shared: “BEST Undertaking has undertaken a project converting around 40,000 HPSV/MH existing lanterns with efficient LEDlanterns. In addition to that, under the Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme (DELP) now under BEST has distributed around 1,72,000 LED lamps and 1,600 LD tube lights to the consumers of the undertaking. I am happy to be here at the 18th edition of International LED Expo and Summit 2018 which continues to help create awareness amongst the general public regarding energy conservation and efficiency.”

LED Expo 2018 has brought together more than 244 companies from India, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan and the UAE who are displaying new innovations, latest technologies and advancements in LEDs. Along with these, there are a host of Indian start-up companies, government subsidy initiatives, electrification of rural areas, LEDification of street lighting & more on display at the expo. Smart and futuristic LED innovations were seen captivating the audiences along with spreading awareness about the future of LED lighting.
Latest innovations and launches at the show:
Some of the top exhibitors include key players like BAG, Swingtel, Light Tapes LLP, SM Solar, Range Lighting, Changi Lighting and Sigma lighting. The companies are all set to showcase energy efficient products focusing on advantages in rural areas of the country to initiate sustainable electrification in rural areas in the country. A host of Indian companies like, KPH Technologies, Smartlight Pvt Ltd, Boffin Impex, GR LIGHTS, HS Corporation, Silvolite, and Arham Electronics products have brought their latest innovative solutions on the floor.
One major interesting launch is the automatic soldering robot that will boost, manufacturing processes with world class technology by KPH Technologies. Also, Silvolite shall unveil, LED torches and LED lamps that are water and shock resistant. These lamps can be used in rural areas and areas that are affected by long hours of power cuts in the city. Also showcasing arange of LED products at the show arePramoda LED Lights that are crafted with advanced technology to ensure maximum energy efficiency and durability. A galore of futuristic products including COB downlight, LED lights using solar and battery to minimize electricity usage, tuneable white lights, and many more which can also be connected to your Wi-Fi and can be controlled by Android/Ios, devices is on display at the three day fair.
