Mr Rajiv Bhalla, Managing Director
An industry veteran with more than 23 years of senior leadership experience, Rajiv Bhalla is the Managing Director of Barco Electronic Systems Pvt. Ltd, a 100% owned subsidiary of BARCO NV Belgium. In his role at the organisation, Rajiv spearheads the formulation and execution of business strategies with an end-goal of expanding Barco’s local footprint in the India market and tapping into the country’s enormous business potential. He is also the legal representative of Barco India.
Rajiv graduated as a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) from Padmashree Dr D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth and holds an MBA in marketing from International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi. Over the course of his career, he has been associated in leadership positions with global technology leaders like Intel, NEC, Microsoft, and Thomson Consumer Electronics. Prior to joining Barco India, Rajiv was serving as the Director – Sales (South Asia) for Intel, and was responsible for driving sales across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka for Intel, as well for developing a robust partner ecosystem and executing customer/partner activation strategies. While at NEC, he leveraged his strong market understanding to identify growth segments and new business opportunities for the brand. Rajiv also orchestrated Microsoft’s Retail Program as its Lead Marketing Manager (OEM) and was pivotal in developing integrated and cohesive marketing campaigns with OEM partners as well as internal stakeholders.
A result-driven leader, Rajiv holds a deep understanding of the B2B and B2C aspects of the technology business. His business acumen has been honed by his cross-domain exposure to various industries like consumer electronics and IT. Rajiv holds extensive expertise in critical business functions such as direct/indirect sales, marketing, growth, profit centre management, strategic alliances etc. His innovative problem solving approach has equipped him with unique insights that he’s leveraged to drive and refine the organisational vision, as well as to inspire and coach great teams throughout his career.
During his leisure time, Rajiv prefers to spend his time speaking at various forums on sales & marketing strategies, and digital marketing etc. He is also a passionate adventure sports enthusiast and frequently participates in activities like skydiving and paragliding.
