Entire TT range supported; huge parts stock; no MOQ; suits rail, industrial and defence applications;
November 2017…. Aerco, the distributor and stockist of electrical and electronic components servicing hi-reliability markets, offers very fast turnaround assembly capability of typically just five days on both the ABCIRP and ABMP ranges of high-performance, circular connectors from TT Electronics. Aerco stocks a huge quantity of piece parts, including backshells, caps, contacts and multipole contacts, and supports both entire ranges in all orientations. Moreover, there is no MOQ. ABCIRP and ABMP signal/high speed data connectors suit rail, defence and industrial applications. Aerco’s capability supports sudden shortage or design requirements, and is an invaluable tool for engineers/buyers, particularly for the rail market, which often requires fast turnaround and quick design decisions.
ABMP and ABCIRP connectors share a high-performance, positive lock, quick disconnect, reverse-bayonet coupling mechanism that ensures fast and reliable mating. ABCIRP contacts are retained by a unique beryllium copper spring clip that, together with secure three-pin bayonet locking, ensures a high degree of vibration and shock resistance without costly and time consuming wire-locking. ABMP interconnect contacts are held in securely by a unique two-piece insert.
Low fire hazard thermoplastic insulators are used to meet critical safety requirements and the insulators are removable, allowing flexibility for re-orientation or providing additional capacity at a later date. ABMP and ABCIRP interconnects are also protected to IP67 and are resistant to fuel oils and solvents, ideal for polluted environments. They operate at temperatures between -55ºC and +125ºC. Shock and vibration tested to BSEN6137 Cat 1, these ranges from TT Electronics are highly durable, and capable of being mated in excess of 2,000 times. Removable contacts allow simple assembly and maintenance.
ABCIRP connectors are derived from Mil-C-5015 and VG95234 specifications and designed primarily for the demanding rail and mass transportation industries. They are approved to the French rail specification N.F.F. 61030. The range includes eight shell sizes (18 to 40), nine contact arrangements (7 to 60 ways) with contact sizes 16, 12 and 8 AWG.
The ABMP Series is based on ABCIRP, but adds twin-ax and quadrax capability and is designed for interconnection of signal and high-speed data interconnection in rail, traction, industrial and defence applications. Four styles of multi-pole contacts are available in any combination of co-ax, twin-ax, tri-ax or quadrax providing versatile, high-speed data connectors capable of handling seven high-speed Ethernet connections or numerous combinations of signal and data links.
