Updates to the Omna app add new features, including remote live streaming and Android support.
September 1, 2017 – [Taipei, Taiwan] D-Link today announced new firmware with updates to the Omna app that provide new and improved capabilities for owners of the Omna 180 Cam HD (DSH-C310). The Omna app is now available for download on Android devices. Other new features include remote live streaming and event notifications, as well as a new pinch-to-zoom capability that allows users to zoom in on an area of the camera’s live view in order to see more detail. Omna 180 Cam HD owners can now download the video clips that are saved on the camera’s SD card to their camera roll. They can enable/disable night-vision and the device’s LED indicator light with the Omna App. D-Link users also have the ability to see live video and receive notifications locally via the Apple Home app from their iPhone or iPad. An update to the Omna app for iOS is available in the App Store. Owners of the Omna 180 Cam HD should also upgrade their device’s firmware using the Omna App for iOS.
“D-Link is very excited about the Omna app’s new features, and we believe in constantly improving our products to meet the needs of our customers,” said Anny Wei, President and CEO of D-Link Corporation. “We hope that these new features will allow consumers to fully understand the benefits that the Omna 180 Cam HD can bring to people’s lives.”
The Omna 180 Cam HD was launched earlier this year as the first Apple HomeKit-enabled camera and is available at Apple Stores around the world and from Apple.com. The Omna app is available as a free download from the App Store on iPhone or iPad, as well as from Google Play for Android devices. The Omna 180 Cam HD is now available for the price of $149.95 USD (tax excluded).
