LEDLED technology has been a global revolution in the way we use energy.  LED lights have been known to have a lifespan that’s 25 times longer than traditional incandescent lightbulbs and to expend a lot less energy producing heat. They’re compact, resistant to breakage, easy to maintain and incredibly efficient. What’s more, their lack of mercury and long lasting properties mean that they more environmentally friendly than any other light source on the market. India is closer than ever to being the top spot in the global LED market and until last year over 15million LEDs had been distributed around the country. It’s estimated that by 2030 LEDs will account for 75 percent of all lighting sales.

There has yet to be discovered a situation where LED lighting couldn’t improve the efficiency of a product. Nowadays, almost all computer and television screens use LEDs because their small size allows screens to be made thinner and more easily transportable. OLED screens are even gaining popularity for their more vibrant and accurate displays and are more than likely going to dominate the market in the future. They’re turning light into art and have completely changed the lighting industry.

We have found ways to utilise their benefits in almost all lighting situations. In homes, LEDs have significantly cut down the cost of energy. The ability to control the direction of light is one of the reasons why they have been put to use in flashlights and are used in spotlights. Their resilience against the effects of extreme temperature changes make them perfect for outdoor use, which is why most of our traffic lights and vehicle lights now use LEDs, as well as our refrigerators and microwaves. LED lights can even promote growth in plants, which is why so many people are using them to light their green houses and even establishing LED farms.

Since they were invented and became widely distributed, the price of LED lights has continued to drop. Cheap LED Lights are now readily available for anyone that’s looking to light their property more efficiently and every day more people are making the smart switch to LEDs. The dropping prices of LED lights have even helped to light areas around the world that don’t have a regular supply of electricity. LED lights combined with solar packs and batteries are regularly distributed around the world to unlit homes and can last for as long as three years without needing any kind of maintenance. These solar lights are helping to light the 1.5 billion people that don’t have access to artificial light and dramatically reducing the pollution caused by kerosene lamps.

Despite how much LED lights have already improved our technology we are still continuing to find more great uses for them. They are improving the lives of people around the world and their ready availability means that everyone can experiment with what they are capable of. From colossal stadiums to children’s toys, LEDs have changed the lighting industry forever and it won’t be long before they take over the industry completely.
