The CoolMOS P7 family achieves this performance by reducing Eoss and Qg by over 50 percent, as well as reductions in Ciss and Coss. The devices also enable higher power density in designs through lower switching losses and exceptional RDS(ON). Overall, the CoolMOS P7 family helps designers save BOM costs and reduce assembly efforts.
The CoolMOS P7 devices integrate a Zener diode to significantly improve electrostatic discharge (ESD) ruggedness protection up to Class 2 (HBM), which helps reduce ESD-related production yield losses. The devices are easy to drive and to design-in due to best-in-class gate threshold voltage of 3V and the smallest gate threshold voltage variation of only ± 0.5V.
