Showcases the most cost effective and time saving tools for the automotive engineering industry
Bangalore, India – June 02, 2016: National Instruments India (NI) recently hosted a series of automotive roadshows across the country to showcase NI platform-based tools and technologies specifically designed to cater to the automotive industry in India. The roadshows which were hosted through live demos, and technical presentations were attended by over 100 engineers across cities from various automotive companies, both OEMs and tier 1 suppliers.
NI tools save time and money across all stages of the automotive engineering process as they provide a customizable & high performance platform for measurement, validation and automated test. The number of features as well as the number of units produced is increasing day by day and this makes the testing of these components more challenging. With industry-leading I/O, flexible off-the-shelf hardware, and the powerful NI LabVIEW development environment, users can create user-defined solutions for applications ranging from HIL and functional test to in-vehicle data logging and dynamometer control.
Commenting on the roadshows, Jayaram Pillai, Managing Director – IndRA at National Instruments, said, “Automotive Industry is a big focus area for National Instruments in India. As the presence of electronic control units is increasing in modern automobiles, so is the emphasis on Hardware-in-the-loop testing. In this context, one of the main focus of our automotive roadshow was Hardware-in-the-loop testing (HIL Testing), especially how this technology is enhancing to incorporate test strategies for Hybrid Electric Vehicles too.”
NI provides automated testing & data acquisition solutions for all stages of automotive development. Their flexible and scalable hardware and software platforms can be used for high volume production testing for complex automotive components and significantly increase profitability. NI’s solutions include Hardware-in-the-loop testing, Data Acquisition & Logging, Test Cell Measurement & Control, Infotainment Test, Automated Visual Inspection and end of line component test.
