Beijing, China, May 24, 2016 — Littelfuse, Inc., the global leader in circuit protection, has introduced the SMF4L Series 400W Low Profile Package TVS Diode, which is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It is provided in a small-footprint, flat lead, low-profile plastic SOD-123FL package. With a board footprint of just 3.10mm x 2.00mm x 0.98mm, the SMF4L Series is 50 percent smaller than SMA. Its maximum height profile of just 0.98mm and 400W@10/1000μs peak pulse power dissipation capability allows the SMF4L Series to fit neatly into transient voltage protection applications where compact design is critical.

Applications for the SMF4L Series include protection of portable devices/hard drives, notebooks, VCC busses, POS terminals, SSDs, power supplies and monitors.
