16th May 2016 – Microlease, the leading test and measurement equipment management company, continues to broaden the scope of its business capabilities across the globe with the opening of a new office in Taipei. This strategic moves means that, going forward, Microlease will be better able to directly address the key markets of Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China. To support this it has recruited a highly experienced and technically-skilled local team.
Now recognised as the leading test equipment rental and asset management company worldwide, and winning a series of prestigious industry awards, Microlease Group is achieving over 30% year-on-year growth in Asia. Through the new Taipei office, customers will gain access to the largest inventory of test instrumentation in the whole of the Asian continent, covering a wide range of products from the world’s best known brands (including Keysight Technologies, Rohde & Schwarz, Tektronix, Anritsu, EXFO, Fluke, and Viavi, amongst others). It complements existing Microlease operations in Asia, located in India, Malaysia and Singapore.
The benefits of taking a rental approach to test equipment sourcing are now being realised throughout Asia. It results in far greater flexibility, allowing companies to deal with fluctuations in demand as they arise. Heavy capital investment can be avoided, so strain is not placed on financial resources. Items of equipment that are no longer needed can be returned, so they are no longer a cause of on-going running costs (such as recalibration, maintenance, repair, downtime cover, disposal, etc.). In addition, as test requirements change, equipment can be replaced/upgraded without the need for any upfront investment.
“This is another major step forward in Microlease’s expansion. Having native speaking staff, familiar with local cultures and with a high level of industry expertise, in Taiwan will mean that the company is better able to support the technical and logistical requirements of its customers in the Far East,” comments David Whitfield, CEO of Microlease Asia. “In addition, the Far Eastern manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers of our established clients in North America and Europe will be able to benefit from the same high quality service.”
