Conference will highlight technology trends and present the Company’s ‘Connect with Confidence’ market opportunities
MINNETONKA, Minn., Jan. 22, 2016 – Digi International®, a leading global provider of mission-critical machine-to-machine (M2M) and IoT connectivity products and services, today introduced the key activities and events taking place during the company’s annual European conference. Digi Europe IoT Conference is being held at the InterContinental Carlton Cannes in Cannes, France, from January 26 to 28.
Overlooking the French Riviera and set against the backdrop of Digi’s new brand identity, this year’s conference will provide customers and partners with an overview of the major technology trends taking place in the IoT marketplace and the resulting business opportunities it presents.

During the IoT plenary keynote session, Digi President and Chief Executive Officer, Ron Konezny, as well as other Digi executives, industry leaders and select customers, will share their perspectives on a number of topics, including how to assess business and product needs, emerging customer requirements, and how to develop industry-leading IoT solutions.
During the course of the conference, Digi executives will outline company directions and product roadmaps that encompass Digi’s portfolio. Digi’s M2M and IoT products include embedded ConnectCore® system-on-modules and single-board computers; RF products, including XBee® modules, gateways, modems, adapters, range extenders, and sensors; Digi Transport® cellular gateways/routers; and Rabbit® modules.
One of the main highlights of the conference will be customer presentations, featuring:
- Frazer-Nash: Makers of Metrocab, the only zero-emissions capable black cab currently operating in London, will share how they are able to increase their speed to market by using Digi ConnectCore® 6 system-on-module to power the driver instrumentation and passenger displays.
- Olsbergs Electronics: Since meeting strict government regulations is a challenge, Olsbergs Electronics will talk about the process of manufacturing remote radio controls for mobile machinery equipment and how Digi’s XBee met requirements for regulatory compliance, manufacturing methodologies and communication protocols.
Additionally, all attendees will receive free access to the IoT demo showcase which, along with the customer demos, will include demos of Digi products as well as displays and exhibits from a variety of Digi partners. Also presenting will be Tobin J.M. Richardson, president and CEO of the ZigBee Alliance.
