At Media Expo 2016, HP demonstrated its end to end capabilities around indoor and outdoor signage with its industry leading portfolio of Latex printers. Benefits and success of HP Latex printing technology
Small, mid and large printing companies have long used traditional eco-solvent ink devices for outdoor print jobs, which lengthen turnaround times and limit application versatility. Powered by the benefits of third generation water-based HP Latex inks, the HP Latex 300 printer series and HP Latex 3000 printers are offering copy shops and PSPs with varying requirements a compelling alternative to eco-solvent ink with a strong economic value proposition, helping them customers efficiently handle more outdoor and indoor applications with improved durability and image quality.
The HP Latex printers score high on versatility and are designed to help sign shops, quick printers, small to medium printing companies and large PSPs with production scale requirements easily expand large-format printing capabilities and break into new application areas. The printers not only provide durable quality and easy operation, but also largely contribute towards building a healthier work environment and sustainable ecosystem with water-based inks which is well suited for sign and display applications like wall coverings, outdoor displays and banners, vehicle wraps, point of purchase posters, backlits and textiles etc.
In 2015, HP reached 30,000 Latex printers shipped worldwide making HP the top supplier for digital wide-format printing systems worldwide, while HP Latex 300 Printer series achieved No. 1 market position in its category according to IDC, and is growing 46 percent year over year globally, demonstrating a transformative shift in the sign & display industry from solvent to latex technology.
