Nikon Metrology will open its doors for a special one-day event on 16 December in Derby to showcase its innovative CMM-Manager software to companies across the UK. Live demonstrations will take place to offer attendees a real insight into the unique features of the intuitive inspection software designed to run on all CMM’s both manual & CNC and portable CMMs.
Experts will discuss how, with the use of the correct inspection software, users can accomplish more with increased productivity, which in turn will improve margins and reduce rejects.
David Taylor, Nikon’s CMM and Laser Division Sales Manager said: “The CMM-Manager software open day is the perfect opportunity for Nikon to meet the engineers looking to increase their productivity by automating serial inspection. Nikon’s CMM-Manager metrology software is the pinnacle in highly intuitive software and features a number of benefits from one-click CAD measurement, to real-time verification which provides quick and accurate graphic measurement results. What is most unique, is its multi-platform capability making it possible to have just one unified software that can support a range of equipment. This allows companies to standardise on CMM-Manager leading to increased productivity with a single software solution.”
Designed for both manual and CNC coordinate measuring machines, CMM-Manager includes an object oriented interface allowing easy program creation without the need for complex text programming language. It is also compatible with third party CMM’s and Arms or with Nikon’s range of inspection equipment including the MCAx portable arm and ALTERA CMM range, along with Renishaw PH20 tactile probe head.
The software platform has most recently been updated to run on the Nikon’s iNexiv. This new hardware is designed to meet demanding manufacturing requirements with automated measurements of mechanical parts, electronic mechanisms, dies, moulds and medical devices.
“There is also the opportunity for people to bring their own components for a free inspection consultation, so they can see just how CMM-Manager will benefit them in production. Featured demonstrations on Nikon’s latest range of products will help in allowing attendees to understand how they can run a more productive inspection process by installing intuitive yet powerful software,” concludes David.
Conveniently located just off the M1 and M42, the CMM-Manager open day will be held at Nikon Metrology, Castle Donnington, Derby on 16 December 2016 and will include lunch and light refreshments. There will also be the opportunity to see live demonstrations of the Nikon software and equipment inspecting customer’s components.
