Saison Components & Solutions came into existence as an extension of the Innovate Group, which was established by Vivek Shukla in 2003 for the sales & marketing of electronic components in India. We work as authorized representative of around 35 plus well reputed manufacturers from USA, UK, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China in India. We do not work as a trader/reseller and don’t keep stock of any components. This saves double investment in warehousing/logistics at two places i.e. at vendor’s place and at distributor’s place. Thus we provide best quality and cost effective services to our customer and that also from designing stage. We have strong hold on segments like renewable energy (wind and solar both), power, consumer electronics, lighting, automotive, medical, defence, space and telecom.
Tell us about your major product categories and brands?
Our current product range has 1000+active and passive components for different segment.Some of our focus products/vendors for Indian market are:
Supercapacitor (Vinatech): We are the exclusive representative of Vinatech in India. They are the specialized manufacturer of supercapacitors, with being the only manufacturer to have developed 3V capacitor in a single cell. This innovation is a bridge between capacitor and battery with a long life cycle. We are currently supplying its modules & single cells to Wind industry,Automotive industry (hybrid electric vehicles) & Power applications.
Obsolete Components (Force Technology):Components obsolescence has always been an issue in the defence, aerospace, space, commercial, industrial & medical equipment industries. We provide solution to obsolete components to overcome this issue. Force uses Die Reclamation technique to manufacture Obsolete Memories, Multi Chip modules, Linear/Analog components, Diode/Transistor.
Passive Parts (Sunlord):Sunlord has a competitive edge in the global high-end customer market for products like inductors, MOV, NTC, chip antenna & ferrite beads.
Forging Products (Dong Yang):Dong Yang is a well reputed, global competitive forging company having expertise in wind power, petrochemical, oil & gas and shipbuilding industry.
Switches, Sensors & Relay (Comus):It is one of the largest manufacturer in sensor industry & dominates the European & American market.
GPS Devices (YIC):We provide best quality service for frequency control products & GPS/GLONASS RF products.
TD-LTE Sync Detection Module (JS Commtech):The technology is really advanced & keeps developing with a high speed in cell phones, special for the latest 4G signal. So in order to avoid the noises & for 4G TD-LTE Jammer, our JRC T-1 is perfect solution. We also have solution for TD-LTE Repeater.
What are your strengths and unique offerings in the market?
We have experienced management, qualified and young engineers. We work with different strategic partners who are experienced in their own field. Having very strong relations with customers, we also provide regular updates about new technologies, new products, application notes and technical assistance to our valued customers. We do regular quality assessment of all our vendors, by visiting them & qualifying not only their product but infrastructure, man-power & work culture. As actual quality comes from these not only by test results.
Can you comment on your sales figure and future growth of your business?
We achieved a great success in succeeding year of establishment and 40-50% growth in first few years. In this fiscal year we are targeting $8mn and expecting a high growth in the coming years.As India is vigorously becoming a consumer of its own designs for healthcare, renewable energy, smart gadgets/phones/tabs, defence, space, communication, unique identification and smart automation applications, we wish to be a part of these growing areas. We want to be a partner in the dream of our PM’sinitiative of ‘Make in India’.
How do you see the competition in electronics components distribution business?
Saison is distinguished in this business as we are supporting customers from the initial designing stage and keep our margin/overhead very low. But still competition is tough as there are many players for each segment. But our quality, timely delivery and low price minimise the hurdles for us. Apart from this, we also work with experts from different areas to support us as consultant for best performance in this business.
What is your outlook on India electronics components industry? Can you comment on manufacturing side of this industry?
The Indian electronic components industry is growing at significant rate, but still its major demand is met through imports. The Government of India ambitiously plans to manufacture as many as 181 products locally along with ‘Make in India’ campaign. Many Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)/Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) providers are operating in India andalso some international players are expected to add production in India in the coming years that will boost the demand of electronics components.
Would you like to highlight any challenges?
Yes, the major challenge would be our high targets. It is very difficult to maintain quality standard along with cut throat competition. We hope we will be successful.
What is your vision towards the quality and standards of electronics components?
India is emerging as one of the most promising market in the world with high quality manufacturing facilities commencing in near future, so the quality level of the components will yet again set new standards.
