Electrolube’s newest advancements in conformal coatings and encapsulation resins will take centre stage at the EFY Expo Western India, which takes place at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre in Mumbai on 26-28 November 2014. The electro-chemicals specialist will launch the UV cure conformal coating (UVCL) and the new PE7500 clear polyester resin on booth A23, Hall 2.
UVCL is the next generation of VOC-free conformal coatings that provides the ultimate protection in harsh environments, including high humidity, corrosive and chemical atmospheres. The non-flammable coating eliminates the use of solvents and meets the requirements of IPC-CC-830 and IEC-61086. The low viscosity, single-part product cures within seconds of exposure to the correct dose of UV light and has been specifically designed to offer the highest level of protection for PCBs. UVCL features a dual cure system, providing secondary moisture cure for full cure, even in shadow areas. With no dilution required, UVCL is ready to use for selective spray application and is RoHS-2 compliant (2011/65/EU).
PE7500 is a clear amber, flexible encapsulation resin, which allows easy removal of cured material from broken or defective units, thanks to its ‘digoutable’ properties. It uses an innovative blend of technologies to provide the performance afforded by polyurethane resins whilst removing the associated health hazards. The resin is isocyanate free and completely eliminates any health risk from isocyanate exposure, proven to cause irritation to the eyes, skin and respiratory system. It carries no health warnings and provides a vastly safer environment for operators, whilst also reducing ventilation issues and costs for manufacturers. PE7500 provides excellent hardness stability over a wide temperature range and flexibility at temperature extremes. With low moisture sensitivity during and after cure, PE7500 exhibits excellent electrical properties and is RoHS-2 Compliant (2011/65/EU).
