Electronica 2014: RAMPF Polymer Solutions presents electro casting resins based on PU, silicone, and epoxy
Grafenberg, 10/16/2014. High-power and high-performance electro casting resins and related application technologies for the reliable casting of electrical and electronic components will be presented by RAMPF at Electronica, the leading international trade fair for electronic components, systems, and applications, in Munich from November 11 to 14, 2014.
RAMPF provides its customers with end-to-end solutions for protecting their electrical systems by offering materials, machinery, and manufacturing processes from a single source. The chemical expertise of RAMPF Polymer Solutions, a leading provider of single-component and dual-component electro casting resins based on PU, silicone, and epoxy, combined with the application expertise of RAMPF Production Systems, specialists in low-pressure mixing and dispensing systems as well automation solutions, enables the development of customized complete solutions for a wide range of electrical and electronic applications.
Debut at Electronica 2014 – single-component electro casting resins from RAMPF Polymer Solutions
“Highest thermal conductivity, highest thermal and mechanical strength, and highest flame retardancy – this is what our RAKU-PUR®, RAKU-SIL®, and RAKU-POX® electro casting resins deliver,” says Dr. Klaus Schamel, Managing Director of RAMPF
Polymer Solutions. “We have been designing and manufacturing made-to-measure electro casting systems for over 30 years. Our customers can rest assured that we have the best products for their applications and industries.”
RAMPF Polymer Solutions, part of the international RAMPF Group, has now expanded its product portfolio with the launch of single-component electro casting resins. They will be unveiled to the public at Electronica 2014. These resins boast high thermal, chemical, and mechanical performance and are available in two levels of hardness – hard and gel. They have good stability at room temperature and feature very good flow properties due to their low viscosity. Single-component electro casting resins from RAMPF Polymer Solutions are used above all in automotive technology, where they offer maximum protection for particularly sensitive electronic components.
RTI electro casting resins – high performance in extreme conditions
When polymers are exposed to certain environmental influences, their mechanical properties deteriorate over time. Heat is one of the major factors that cause this deterioration. In general, a material that has been aged through heat will lose
performance. However, knowing a material’s long-term temperature resistance provides a basis for choosing the right polymer. The long-term temperature resistance of a material can be identified by measuring the changes in its mechanical and electrical properties with reference to a predetermined value (50 percent of the initial value). This process involves aging samples at various different temperatures. These tests have shown that RTI resins from RAMPF Polymer Solutions retain their properties and functions even in extreme conditions – and thus ensure the performance of the electrical systems they are used for.
Production on three continents – when it says RAMPF, it is RAMPF
RAMPF Polymer Solutions electro casting resins are developed exclusively at the RAMPF Innovation Center at the company’s headquarters in Grafenberg. The 1000 m2 laboratory there provides state-of-the-art equipment for research and development. Production of electro casting resins is also carried out in the United States and China by our foreign subsidiaries – RAMPF Group, Inc. and RAMPF (Taicang) Co. Ltd. This means that products are available quickly to customers all over the world. It goes without saying that RAMPF overseas subsidiaries operate to the highest standards in quality and production. The result: German quality made in the USA and China. Or, in other words: When it says RAMPF, it is RAMPF.
